Hi, my name is Makiko Kimura and I am the hands & heart behind the paintings on this website.
I am a portrait artist from Japan now based in Sydney, Australia. I started my career as a portrait painter as a part time job, and it became a full time job since 2020. All artwork in this website has been created by me. I work in a variety of mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, ink and pencil.
My inspiration for my original pieces draws from people in everyday life.
I primarily use watercolour and acrylic. I truly enjoy capturing special moments in life.
